Legal
Terms of use
Version and effective date: 29 August 2026
These Terms govern the Resumea website, accounts, AI-assisted CV tools, free preview, and paid access passes. “Resumea”, “we”, and “us” mean the independent operator of the Resumea service described in the Legal notice.
1. Who may use Resumea
You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter a contract. Resumea is for individual job seekers. If you use it for an organisation, recruitment agency, school, resale, or another person, contact us first.
2. What Resumea provides
Resumea helps you import or enter career information, analyse a vacancy, draft and edit a CV, estimate job fit and salary, prepare for interviews, and generate a PDF. AI is used in these features and is identified throughout the product. You remain responsible for reviewing every output before using it.
Resumea does not apply for jobs, make hiring decisions, provide recruitment representation, or guarantee interviews, employment, salary, or compatibility with every applicant-tracking system.
3. Free preview
One free preview is available per account. It permits one complete AI-tailored CV flow, the editor, all four templates, job-match information, interview preparation, salary guidance, and saving the result. PDF download remains locked. No payment card is required.
4. Paid access passes
- 7-day pass — €9.90 one-time: paid features for seven consecutive days from payment confirmation, with up to 30 newly tailored CVs.
- 30-day pass — €19.90 one-time: paid features for 30 consecutive days from payment confirmation, with up to 60 newly tailored CVs.
Prices include VAT where applicable. Both passes include PDF downloads, job tailoring, match analysis, interview preparation, salary guidance, AI review, and saved versions. A pass ends automatically. It is not a subscription and does not renew or charge again.
CVs created during a paid pass and their PDF downloads remain available in your account after the pass ends, subject to these Terms and the retention described in the Privacy notice. The pass duration limits new AI tailoring, not access to the paid output already created.
At checkout, you request that access begin immediately after payment. The checkout shows the selected pass, total price, duration, and non-renewing nature before you pay.
5. Fair use and safety guards
The 30/60 tailoring allowances are high safety ceilings for a personal job search. PDF downloads are not limited. Automated requests, credential sharing, bulk CV production, scraping, resale, bypassing technical limits, or using Resumea to process other people’s data without authority are prohibited. Reasonable daily guards also apply to CV imports, AI reviews, summaries, and explanations.
If a genuine individual job search reaches a safety ceiling, contact support. We may verify normal personal use and grant reasonable additional access. We will not reduce a purchased allowance retroactively.
6. Accounts and security
Provide accurate account information, keep credentials confidential, and tell us promptly about suspected unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless caused by our failure to use reasonable security.
7. Your content
You retain rights in the CVs, job information, files, photographs, edits, and other material you provide. You grant Resumea a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, copy, format, transmit, and process that content only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the service. We do not sell your CV or claim ownership of it.
Only upload content you are entitled to use. Avoid unnecessary sensitive data such as health, religion, political views, biometric identifiers, or government identification numbers.
8. AI outputs and professional judgement
AI output can be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. Salary ranges are estimates, not tax, financial, or legal advice. Job-match scores are guidance and are not decisions about you. Verify names, dates, facts, qualifications, language level, salary, and local CV conventions before submitting a document.
9. Payment, withdrawal, and refunds
Payments are processed by Revolut on its hosted page. We do not receive your full card number. Your EU/EEA right of withdrawal, the point at which it ends, and a model form are explained in Withdrawal. In short: a full refund is available within 14 days provided you have not downloaded a CV; once you have, the service has been supplied and the right of withdrawal no longer applies to it. Mandatory remedies for a defective or non-conforming service are unaffected.
10. Digital-service rights
Nothing in these Terms excludes mandatory rights concerning conformity, remedies, security updates, unfair contract terms, or consumer guarantees for digital services. If Resumea is materially defective, contact us so we can restore conformity, provide a proportionate price reduction, or refund you where required by law.
11. Availability and changes
We may maintain, secure, or update the service and may experience outages. We will not materially remove paid features during an active pass without a remedy required by law. Features and prices may change for future purchases; changes do not alter a pass already bought.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Resumea at any time. We may restrict access when reasonably necessary for security, unlawful use, material breach, or protection of other users. Where appropriate, we will give notice and a chance to remedy the issue. Statutory refund rights remain unaffected.
13. Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits any responsibility that cannot legally be limited or affects your mandatory consumer rights.
Resumea helps you create and improve a CV, but it does not control employers or their hiring decisions and cannot guarantee interviews or job offers. You are responsible for checking that your CV is accurate before submitting it.
To the extent permitted by law, Resumea is not responsible for an employer’s decision, for errors a user chooses to submit without reviewing, or for exceptional losses that could not reasonably have been expected when the service was purchased.
14. Governing law and disputes
The law of the EU Member State in which Resumea’s operator is established applies, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections available in their country of habitual residence. Consumers may bring proceedings in any court available to them under mandatory EU and national rules. Contact us first so we can try to resolve a complaint directly.
15. Contact and contract language
Contact Resumea at support@resumea.ai or use the information in the Legal notice. These Terms are available in several languages. In the event of a discrepancy between language versions, the English version prevails.
